I have the subject Lionel operating accessory, and it works fine. I was surprised to see that the milk cans can be loaded into a reefer, and the cans remain upright.

What reefer or other car is supposed to be used with the Loading Depot to receive the cans? (I am using an ice car now.)

How are the cans supposed to be placed on the conveyor? Yes, by hand; but is there an operating car that would unload the cans from the car and onto the Loading Dock conveyor?

Thx!

Alex

It looks like there are a few different cars that come with an unloading platform. Just be sure to read the product description closely. Some are very smooth, the old K Line ones and some are the postwar style milk can shooters.

It looks like "best milk loading cycle ever", in the description highlights the "K Line" versions.

Heres video of  a K Line( not mine)one in action.  Pretty slick.

I have the Dairymen's League creamery and the K-Line NYMX car shown in the video above.  I am not sure that the car will off load to the conveyor.  I have tried to set it up with the correct spacer plate for 0-27 track profile and the car sits too low.  You might be able to modify the base of the creamery to receive the cans, but I don't know if it would cause a problem with the loading action.  I hope to get mine hooked up this weekend and will give it a go.

I have the Moose Pond Creamery.  I have a K Line Car.  I use it with Fastrack.  I am experiencing a problem with the cans which exit from the creamery and loading into the car.  They go into the car and I am within 1/2" from the track as the directions support.  However they almost always "tip" and thus won't go onto inside milk car conveyor.  Has anyone experienced, and have a solution? Is there some sort of plate that I should place inside the car?  Please advise.  Thanks.

Lets talk milk cans.  When you purchase the Loading depot, or any of the cars with conveyor's you get, you also get milk cans.  These are not the magnetic type.  Be sure for a more stable load to use the milk cans that come with the set, or the cars.  They make a better more stable load, and help with your percentages of success from conveyor to off loading the cars.

I found also that with my car, there was a plate designed to hold the loading doors open for a manual load using your fingers.  This is very helpful.
