I just bought a new laptop & downloaded Scarm I didn't get a mouse with it. Would I be better off using a mouse with the program instead of using the touch pad?

I've used the touch pad on my laptop for years with no problems with both SCARM and RR-Track. In fact, I've been using a touch pad for so long, I have trouble using a mouse these days. It all depends on how much you like/dislike a touch pad.
When we bought our new Apple desk top MAC a few years ago, it did not take me long to get used to the track-pad. My wife cannot get used to it however, se we are constantly switching between the two. Good thing they are both wireless.
Thanks guys, I'll try the touch pad for a while. Is there a tutorial some where that I can use to get familiar with the program?
Thanks for your help
I've used nothing but a track pad for years on my MacBook Pro(s). Using a mouse feels oddly strange when the need arises.
I could never master the touch pad. A mouse is dirt cheap now at the Best Buy stores et al.
But if you can use the touch pad then it will work fine.
It it feels good, do it.
I had to use a pointing device as part of my job to the point where I would start getting various aches and pains from overuse. So I'd change devices periodically.
I've used a mouse, track ball, touchpad, and a pointing stick built into the keypad of an IBM Thinkpad.
It's all a matter of what one is accustomed to using.
I think that if I currently had the pointing stick, that is what I'd use.
Is there a tutorial some where that I can use to get familiar with the program?
Yes there are several on Scarm on You Tube watch the first one and after that you will see others listed.
