Mrc dual power and tpc300 hookup

I am looking to find out if I can hook up both a and b posts to same tpc and will i get 270 to the tpc or will the transformer default to 135? I hooked it up this way and both u posts to tpc it seems one handle now makes both volt meters go to 20 volts but only one amp meter goes on. If u touch other handle it pops breaker.  I just want to make sure not going to damage equipment and no instructions in mrc other than indiv handle hookup. Thx

I would not recommend that.  Unless the handles are exactly positioned on the same winding, you're shorting the windings and creating very large internal currents in the transformer.

 

The MRC 270 is one big Toroidal core with wipers on each end for the two outputs.  It's not designed to connect the two directly together in that fashion.

 

When you connect two PH135 transformers to the TPC300, they're separate windings, and there is no shorted winding possibility, a totally different scenario.
