I recently got in my Historic Rail Magazine and happen to see that there is an MTA Articulated Bus that's 1/50th scale at 16" long. Here's also a link to the bus I'm talking about http://www.transitmuseumstore....P-rsACFSpp7Aod8SkAbA The question I ask is, off the top of my head, which I could think if it can or not, but could this articulated bus work on an O Guage Layout? Also, has anyone got one of these models of these Articulated Buses? Thanks. Tom Jr.

At 1:50 scale, it would be 2/3" small on a 1:48 layout, not that noticeable.

Hello Tom Jr.
That bis IS ACTUALLY 1:48 Scale - maybe even between 1:48 and 1:46 scale - but no where near the smaller 1:50th Scale.
I have one (that MTA Bus) as seen under my O Scale 2-rail NY City "EL" line tracks on my EL-Trolley Layout. It is definately a bit larger than the 1:50 CORGI brand NYC Transit based busses I also have. See the THREE photos of it attached.
It will fit nicely in with standard O-Gauge Rolling stock on a Railroad Layout. It might look big if you are operating strictly 027 Rolling stock - which is sort of closer to Scale "S" Gauge rolling stock ! It will look natural with both 1:48 and 1:43 scale automobiles.
Here is a LINK to one of my FLICKR Photo album sets - the ALBUM that hosts all the photos of my models of various eras of NYC Transit busses -- seen under my NYC "EL" and on some open streets.

Joe-
Just caught your post on the Daron NYC MTA artic. GORGEOUS "under-the-el" pix, BTW. It really is a nice model, but I can't quite figure out the prototype- Flyer, Nova? What do you think?
Best wishes,
CTSRapid
CTSRapid It is acually supposed to be based off a Mercedes bus.
Subway-
Thanx very much for the reply, but then I received another one from you IDing the prototype as a New Flyer (with pic) which actually does resemble the model. Anyway, genuinely appreciate the help. Best wishes and
Happy Thanksgiving!
