How cool would it be if they had an RS-1 fixed pilot available

I was just on the site and couldn't find them Need a replacement for the pilot on my ATSF GP38-2 and could use a pair of F-unit pilots for my FT's.

Hi Matt!

So what I did was do my initial search for “pilot” and then on the second page, “2-rail”. Do you know if it has the same pilots front and rear or different?  My GP35 has the same front and rear, but the GP40 has different ones and aren’t interchangeable. I’d use a set of these, whichever fit.

Had been checking for a while. Unfortunately the site doesn't seem to be user friendly. Went to order, says out of stock. Guessing some hording going on after the post?

I did a search for dash 8 and found there are no parts for a  premier dash 8. "pilot" brings up nothing. Wish I knew how you guys are finding these 2 rail pilots

Start at MTHpartsandsales.com and go to parts search; so on the first search page, search pilot. On the second search 2-rail.

That’s actually good news!  That means that they have found a market and will not only order more of them, but for more locos too!  I did see they also had the FM Trainmaster 2-rail pilots, too!  I don’t own any but know several PRR fans that do!

How’s the site not user friendly?…..can you explain your complaint please?….have you logged yourself in?….there’s a feature on the MTH parts site called the wish list, if a part is out of stock, and it’s on your wish list, once the part comes back in stock, the system remembers you want a particular part(s) and you get sent an email notifying you of the availability…..but seriously, I’m not being condescending, I’d like to know what your complaint is about the site not being user friendly…..

We tried in plain English, any other way to search for this? Can't do the wish list because they say there is no such part.

Mario’s right buddy, …always start simple, then dial it in as you narrow,…but that’s any search engine, ….even the one on this forum is useful if you aim small, miss small,…

Doesn't look like there is anything left. Wonder if MTH only had a few of each. Would a dash 8 pilot be the same as a dash 8 40c? Is the front and rear the same part #? Because they are out of stock there is no picture ( I am guessing that is the reason).

I'm with you. By the time I read this thread most items I wanted were "out of stock".

Ended up buying more pilots than I had planned on. I started out planning to replace a broken pilot on a GP38-2 and ended up buying pilots for several of my Proto 3-2 engines that have hi-rail wheels. Now to track down some paint and dust off my airbrush.
