I have had for a few weeks a NOS MTH 2076T conventional engine and it's been running great. Went to run it this morning and it's stuck in neutral. Using a CW 80 transformer, track runs other engines just fine. The DCRU switch is in the ON position. Unit's light operate, and the DCRU thing buzzes. The miserable horn works (frightens our dog). Tried various things with transformer - nothing seems to work. Pulled off cab - not a lot to tinker with from what I can tell. Motors turn freely.

Looked at a lot of previous posts but it mostly looks like people with PS issues - this is conventional.

Thoughts?

Rob is correct, although I personally use and like the CW 80 transformers for my main power supply on the layout, some MTH units can be "Fussy"! I have heard of people using a light bulb across the terminals to lower the power to the tracks to allow an MTH product to cycle properly, I have not, but normally have a lighted caboose on the track most of the time so this may be why I have not had these problems!
