MTH announces 40' single sheathed (simulated wood) box cars in 4 road names

Those look really good! Great Grandpa had one job his whole life....working for the B&O.....so I don't NEED box cars.....but may want one more!

Would love to see someone do a custom run in Rutland. Especially the Rutland Whippet scheme. That’s never been done in O scale

Or even Strasburg's Central Vermont 40025... now that Lionel is committed to producing Strasburg 90, it would be cool to see some of their freight cars being made.

I just by coincidence, put in a request with MTH do do a special run of Central Vermont.

Excellent, good choice, I'll be waiting.

Im also putting in to have MTH do the Rutland Double sheathed wood box car with "The Whippet" in 2022.    As far as I can tell, the Rutland single sheathed box cars didnt have the Whippet slogan on them.

And Im putting in for the NWP double sheathed box car (the black one, not the "overnight express" box car, and the NYO&W box car.

If it doesn't go through, Atlas did a double sheath boxcar in this scheme. Two road numbers.

Yup, been looking for those and the 2 bay hoppers they did for a year or two.
