Can anyone tell me if a "coupling" is available to connect 2 ends together? I cant seem to find any. Maybe no one even makes them. Thank you for any input.

You probably already thought of this, but if you can't find the double female connector you could connect 2 female plugs with a short section of wire.
Jini5,
As far as I know there is no electrical BRL connector like you are looking for, you need to run a female Banana plug wire if you want to connect them together correctly.

These are 4mm. There are several others available online, from many sources.

Keith,
You beat me to it, I was just coming back to correct my prior post, I just found them also, seems Power Probe is the only one supplying these exact size Gold female to female couplings, looks like they should do the job!

Take the two wires to a Radio Shack, ask for two female plugs them. Then wire them up your-self. Then plug them in to your new Jig. I don't think your going to found that type female plugs on the open market.
Your will have to make your own Jig, your self.
Good luck. John
Amazon............ but you will need to know the exact sizes of both plugs. Blurring picture but both look like 1/4" to me.........
John,
I agree still the best way to go is making the double female yourself, however the Power Probe connector does look like it should work.

If 4mm, here's an eBay pair, one red, one black for $3.95 plus $1 shipping (from Asia though).

Looks like you found your answwer. Good luck lets know how it works out ?

I found some at the local electronics store. For some reason they are quite expensive - The ones from Amazon in Keith's post above are five bucks each - but they are gold plated, which improves the connection and keeps them from corroding. I forget exactly what I paid for mine but I remember being very surprised.
What I have never been able to find is banana plug extension cables - that is, cables with a male plug on one end and a female on the other. In-line female plugs are also hard to find. The only female connectors I've found are panel sockets, not in-line connectors. I don't need any right now, but I suppose if I looked around long enough at Amazon or DigiKey I could find one.
"Banana Jack"? I think I used to have one of his T-shirts, mon.
Here is a way to make the coupler for Banana Jacks.
Find a piece of brass tubing that the jacks will fit in and cut it to length.
You then can put piece of heat shrink tubing over it.

Looks good and it works.
Mouser has a two-in-one dual inline female connector that works with MTH banana plugs - comes in black or red.
Buy this: http://www.monoprice.com/Produ...p;seq=1&format=2
If you unscrew the 4 units from the white plate, you will have 4 male-to-male connectors. I have done this. Work's well.
(And I recycled the white plastic too; did not need it!)

I ended up going this route. It works like a charm. Very good idea. Thanks to all who have replied.

jini5,
One word applies: "B-I-N-G-O!"
Take the two wires to a Radio Shack...
If you can find one.
stan2004,
This is definitely the way to make your own and it does work great, heck just use some electric tape on the tubing, you really do not even need the shrink tubing.

Electrical tape loses its adhesion and gets brittle over time. I don't know how much of the stuff I've taken out of locomotives, etc. that other people have worked on. If you're going to make your own connectors, stick with the shrink tubing. It even comes in red if you want to color-code it.
