Correct, the only one I would recommend.
Why? Because there is no charging circuit or regulation between that charging jack and the battery. That means your external charger is not just some power supply, it needs to be a known and exact voltage and current rating specifically designed to not overcharge the batteries.
The MTH charger doesn't have any true sensing, and it can indeed overcharge the batteries if you leave it on for a days. I recommend 10-12 hours maximum with the charger and then remove it.
Bought this little sucker recently on Amazon for the express purpose of recharging my 9V batteries.
In the words of that famous shrimp fisherman (Forest Gump)......it's just fine and dandy!!!
Works a treat, but I do keep my eye on it during the charging process, and check the battery consistently with my multimeter.
