They have not made the Potash Cylindrical Hoppers in the original 1978-1979 paint scheme. This is what you need for a 1970's and 1980's era freight train.

I do this every catalog. This time I put five items on my list. When I looked at the total price, I said to myself "where am I going to get that money?"

I'm all in! Can't wait to pre-order and will, as soon as dealers list them. If this run succeeds, perhaps we will see a re-run of the SIRT ALCo S-2... please. The MUEs are another possibility, since the MTH BMT Standard frame can be used and their Lo-V trucks approximate the prototype.

John, that's a "muzzle brake". I've been looking at Google images and I see both. So my guess is either one is okay.
As a 2 railer, I don't follow MTH much. I did peruse the latest catalogue which is listed in this post to see if any new first generation diesels might be coming that are 2 rail. I looked at the photos of what they call their GP7 in the premier line, and based on the information I have on placement of louvres on the long hood and vents, that body seems to be a model of a GP9, not a 7. Now as units got older and rebuilt, doors with vents got moved etc., but these models represent as built new units.

I stand corrected, I prefer the early version. I may cut the muzzle brake off to make it look like the older cannon.

The M114 155mm Heavy howitzer had personnel shields and muzzle suppressor still not very close.....

Same here with the demo f units. Only painted in the railking f3. Now if they did them in the correct F7 premier line I would have been in trouble!
After some consideration the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton Pullman-Standard box car scheme would fit better on the Premier 50' waffle side box car that has the right ends and the correct door. The compass logo needs to be on a sign-plate.

The corker is EMD 462 was the only locomotive painted that way and wasn't even a F3 (Yeah, yeah, I know... It's Railking and it's your railroad... yada yada) It didn't have any mating B's or A's.
It was a test bed for EMD rebuilt from C&NW F7 6501A.

The DT&I 18800 series of 50' box cars built by BERWICK FORGE & FOUNDRY are the cars that match the Premier 50' Box Car. These Detroit, Toledo & Ironton box cars need the compass logo on a signplate.
Mike Wolf needs to have this corrected since there are so few DT&I box cars left to produce, each box car needs to be matched up as close as possible between prototype and scale model.

The Detroit, Toledo & Ironton 50' box car 20-93859 in the 2019 Volume 1 catalog is a car that I am interested in buying.
Somebody made a mistake though. They did not put the right DT&I paint scheme and numbers on the right O scale box car type.
The DT&I 50' box cars that matched the Premier O scale 50' box cars very closely were in the DT&I 18800-18874 series. These box cars were built by Berwick Forge & Foundry.
They have an orange door. The compass logo is on a large sign plate.

The DT&I paint scheme and number series shown on the 50' box car in the catalog is for a Pullman-Standard 50' box car that closely matches the Premier 50' waffle box car. The ends are the same and the door is the same. The compass logo was on a small sign plate.
DT&I 16900-16974 was the Pullman-Standard series. That series and those graphics should be used only for the 50' waffle box car.

There is a very limited amount of DT&I freight cars remaining to be produced for the first time. The paint schemes and the freight have to match each other as closely as possible. It takes months to years between the production of these freight cars, so they have to be painted as close as possible to the real cars the first time they are made.
Please make the correction and post the change on Facebook, twitter, and the O Gauge Railroading 3-rail Forum.
I look forward to having both of the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton schemes on the proper O scale box cars.

I'm just worried that MTH will never make a new steam locomotive in the Premier line again. They should look into doing brass steam locomotives.

You are right about a "b unit" however in the Diesel Demonstrator book there is a picture of both the A unit test bed along with the EMD test car( that was made in a b unit body) both painted in the flashy maroon paint scheme above that MTH could do in their premier line F7 A-B and still be "in the ballpark".
