Quick question, I have a MTH Z1000 brick connected to my MTH DCS TIU and everything is working great. I have my tinplate building connected to the Z1000 14v accessory and even though the building have an 18v lamp they are lite up pretty good. The question is that I saw some one on the 3 rail forum discussing that the Z1000 he has tested drawing 19.3 volts so if my proto 2 engines have a max of 18volts is this going to be a problem? I am running two 400E tinplate MTH engines that draw a lot of voltage I would think. The engines are running on a 34' loop and everything to date is running well but I really have not run them for a long period of time since I just got the transformer yesterday. Frank

You're okay, don't worry about it.  If I remember correctly the original DCS design was for 22v input.  The stated 18v for PS2 is a good operating voltage, not an absolute max value.

Chuck here, on this connection w Z1000, I myself am using two Z blocks to run my huge runs and layout. I never invest on the MTH 4000, I found these blocks handle my empire of two runs. Good job.
