Andy got some kidding at York when he said it would be out in the Fall.  He has always been an uncurable optimist.  However, MTH probably would like to make sure it's as perfect as possible, to avoid those wise ones who are poised to criticize it if there is the slightest buglet.  Personally, having had many new items over the years, I'm perfectly happy to wait until MTH feels it's good enough.  Meanwhile, I still prefer the remote when I'm running trains.  My 10" tablet is too big to handle and my smartphone too small for fat fingers.

I don't know why you are so serious? Lighten up.

Maybe you haven't had the opportunity to have one of your trains tear itself apart of reprogram a brand new engine to get stuck in reverse like I have.

Then guys here tell you you're not doing it right.

I'm waiting for MTH to get it right too.

Joe, MOI! Serious?

I've never had a train tear apart.  I have had a remote do so, after a grandson dropped it on concrete for the umpteenth time.

Don't knock the opportunities that fate has granted you.  I'm sure you have come away from each such encounter more learned, and can pity the poor soul who never has had the incentive to delve into the hidden mysteries of model trains and other gadgets.
