I have a problem with this steam loco. It runs ok in conventional but when in DCS it moves with no sounds, horn, whistle or crew talk. I did the factory reset with the DCS and it didn't do anything. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Joe

Try to raise the volume from the sound menu?
All sounds are at max.
Ensure that Doppler and Clickity-Clack are turned off.
Barry, on the remote it says off and next to it auto. How do I select off on the remote? Thanks Joe
Barry, I turned off doppler and clikity clack off and then tried to reset loco and added loco and nothing changed. Still no sounds.
I have the sister model 30-1478-1 and it will periodically zero out the individual sounds w/i the sound menu when you either adjust volume up/down on the main remote or when running and coming out of clickety-clack when you reduce the speed below 25 smph. I then must go into the menu/sound and increase the respective sound components from their new "0" position.
I wonder if there is a software issue w/ the engine's PS3 (oops typo s/b) PS2 file.
Mine is a PS2.

Typo on my part. Mine is also PS2.
Thanks everyone. I have taken the shell off loco and tender and found problems with the teather and wires just looking like a bird nest. Another thing I am new to DCS always ran in conventional. had the MTH DCS in a box for 2 years and never used and learning more about it. Only problem I am having is I am not getting the remote to power track I have to unplug and plug in power cord to get power to track. I cant figure why this is happening. Thanks again. Joe
