I agree An awesome model
I commend the folks over in Freeport on this one. The new GP38 looks awesome as well.
Now if we can get some P54's and/or P72's we would be in business. A man can dream; can't he!
Keep dreaming Ron! :-)
I was always was fond of the GP-38 RED, White & Blue Engine! I know I have seen them on Ebay. That Might be my next find! Prefer a Railking model only because I have a 4x8 layout which is interested in expanding. After that I hope, just hope that MTH comes out with the passenger Diesel Engines with double decker cars.

Magoo, we do have a R/W/B GP-38 in Proto 1 in stock for 299.99 It is NOT on line, call if interested.
Picked mine up a couple weeks ago, what a fantastic model. The colors were all spot on and really eye catching. Also, the horn truly sounds like a Long Island MP15. They really nailed the sounds.
The only thing is that (as everyone probably noticed) it does not have the MTA logos on the cab and front (although thankfully it does have the writing bellow them).
I added some to mine from Island Model Works and it looks pretty much perfect.

This was a fantastic model. All the exclusives have been fantastic, I already have the new blue and white GP38-2 on order.
Thanks Billbarman! Yes the MTA logo is not on but as you said easily added. The GP-38 will be featured in MTH's next newsletter.

Very nice, that's what I would have done.
I'll take a couple of blue & white (M) ones so I can run everything with them.
I have one MILW MP-15 diesel to run more late model cars and I love it!
I hope Charlie listens to me just once, LOL!
Nice job!
S.
I'm always listening SIRT! Just ask Ben! :-)
Yes Charlie,
I agree with Sirt
I purchased a couple mp-15's and would buy another couple in the blue & white.
I agree with everyone here, if they did a blue and white MP15, I'd be all over it. They did 2 different schemes for the GP38-2, it could work with the MP15 as well.
I hear you!
How about a C420 in the Blue and Yellow Lionel can do the M
that would be great, but I'd like to see them do a Blue Wave C420 first, we'd have pretty much everything in those colors then.
I've been meaning to ask, what's the deal with MTH and the MTA logos? Why are they not allowed to use them? I remember their GP38 from 1999 or 2000 had the Ms on it (At least in the catalog picture) and I know all k-lines stuff did. Why is MTH not allowed to use them?
Blue and white MP15? Where do I give my credit card #?
That blue and white MP15 HAS to have passenger PFA sounds also...!
I totally missed out on the MP15. It looks awesome!
I would love to see a MP15 in the old style LIRR blue and white..
We have money Charlie..LOL!!
Received mine in the mail a couple of weeks ago. It sure was worth the wait. It looks, runs and sounds great.
Thanks Charlie
Good looking locomotive.
Thanks for all the comments and we are listening. Don't forget we still have a few GP-38's still available
I wish MTH would make the MP15 in blue n white.
looks awesome!
I like the new yellow n gray one too..
