MTH N&W hopper prototypical?
I have the MTH 20-97308 N&W hopper. I am looking for a prototypical photo for this model. It appears that photos I have found for HL series all have peaked ends.

Have you tried the SEARCH feature? I remember a lengthy discussion on either the 2-Rail SCALE Forum, or the 3-Rail SCALE Forum, but if I recall the general consensus was; the MTH N&W 55 ton coal hopper was/is NOT correct. In fact, outside of brass models, there is apparently no correct N&W 2-bay hoppers available in O SCALE.
well it looks close...
I would consider it and add peaked ends if needed. Beggers can't be choosers.
Coal hoppers are difficult as many designs were RR built thus rr specific. Not to many designs [until the modern times[2nd generation] that coal hopper designs became mfg specific and went across many rr lines.
Personally, I would like to obtain some N&W H2 hoppers as the PRR leased them as well.
I think maybe Weaver made two bay with peaked ends. I am also looking for two bay N&W to run with Jawn Henry. May also have to settle for the MTH.

May I suggest looking at the O Scale Freight Car Guide to 50 and 55 ton open hoppers?

There you can read the section on fishbelly hoppers and discover that
Atlas began offering their diecast model of the fishbelly style hopper in 2001 with flat or peaked ends.
Here's an MTH Premier Norfolk Southern offset side with peaked ends. Not sure if this is the correct style.
Don
Offset sides yes, but NOT "fish belly" and incorrect peaked ends.
Try the Atlas 6754 and 6774.
The Atlas car is a pretty good N&W fishbelly car. But the N&W was rebuilding the HL cars into H9 cars at the end of the 40's and into the 50's. The HL's were done in 1956 according to Dow's Coal Cars book. For the time of the Jawn Henry, you'd see many triples, H9s, and fewer fishbellies in the train.
The Weaver 2 bay is not accurate for N&W in the steam era. I'm not sure if they ever got a car like that from another road later on.
N&W offset side hoppers are a bit late for the Jawn Henry.
