Today I picked up my MTH GP9 that I had ordered late last year. I’m very please with the sound and the details. I need to lubricated and oiled it. Here is a photo of the engine and a photo of the prototype

Reminds me of grinding my teeth at the FEC tracks in Broward, on multiple occasions, waiting for a long freight train to pass, so we could get to a call. We usually had to hand off the call to a closer Med unit (time wise), on the same side of the tracks, even if they were further away.

Yes it has. Green on the front and red on the rear. Tomorrow will have its inaugural run on the home layout.

I lived in Dade and Southwest Broward for 25 years applied for a brakeman’s job with the FEC back in the very early 80’s. I remember those long slow moving freights at a crossing in Miami Shores.
