Does anyone know how to prevent the MTH PCC from reversing direction in the out and back automode. I have locked the pcc in F/F in the direction control. Thanks

You can't, because that's what "Out and Back"programming is supposed to do. Read the documentation or, better yet, consult The DCS Companion 3rd Edition.
This and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at OGR’s web store! |
Larry,
You need to program a Railking PCC in LOOP mode. That's how I programmed mine and they work fine without reversing.

Bill,
That's fine, however, if his run is out & back, that won't help him.
Barry & Larry,
But an out-and-back run is definitely not appropriate for a Railking PCC which is a model of a single-end trolley that was not designed to run in reverse in regular revenue service. I don't understand why the out-and-back option is even included in the MTH PCC Operator's Manual. I assume they just copied those pages from the Brill Trolley or Subway Manual.

I figured it out. when you program in the loop mode you must go through all the stations twice. out and back thus you program 16 stops it will not anounce this is the last stop at each terminus stop (thats okay) but at least you will hear the stations in an out and back order. I didn'y THIS documented anywhere. Thanks
Larry,
Are you going through the stations once, reversing direction, going though them again, and saving it as a loop program?
Larry:
Glad to hear you tried the LOOP mode and got it working correctly.
Bill
I just continued in the forward direction after the eighth stop and all way back to the first stop . Thanks
Larry,

OK, so you just did a loop. I can assure you that that is defiantly in the instructions.

Larry,
I agree with Barry as that's what I used to program mine. However I can see where you're coming from as the LOOP example diagram in the manual leaves a lot to be desired with only one intermediate stop in each direction and they are different stations.
