I recently purchase a new old stock Premier Allegheny (20-3507-1). It was originally offered in 2014, and from what I can tell it was never opened or run. The odometer was 0.4 miles when I first tested it, and it was wrapped like it had never been opened.
I have a Fastrack layout and it runs beautifully on my 0-72 curves and straights. Unfortunately it stalls on all of my O-72 switches. It appears to create a short on the switch, because it blows the fast acting fuses that I use (and also the circuit breakers on my MPC Dual Power transformer). I have an MTH Premier 2-10-4 that runs through these O-72 switches with out any issues.
Below are pictures of the two sets of drivers from the Allegheny. I don't see any obviously wrong. I thought the drivers might dirty and I cleaned them. The "paint" on the driver's does seem odd, so I am not sure if that is the cause of my issue or not. Any suggestions on what to do next is greatly appreciated. TIA.
