JB Weld? JohnA
If its brass or steel it can be soldered. Hard to believe its diecast but if it is it will need to be replaced. JB Weld maybe but that small bond area won’t be very strong.

I would call this place.

Mort, this is not a hard part to replace at all,…take a picture of it before you take it apart,….the cross head and main rod will have to come off, but after that, an oober long Phillips head screwdriver will snake in and remove the screw for the guide,…..you do not need to dismantle the locomotive to do this swap,….

For anyone who finds this later the parts above are correct replacement parts. You'll have to cut off the sprue at the end of the crosshead to use it. It's part of the casting to keep the crosshead from breaking when cast/in a parts bin.
Lou is correct Mort, he’s got you the right part numbers, that spru piece has to be trimmed off by the installer,…….

Thanks for the info and will follow that and hopefully have it up and runnning soon,
