MTH PS 2/3 in Conventional Mode Question

You have to pace whatever models you choose to run before you connect them. They should run very close to the same speed overall. If they don't, you'll probably make an engine overheat, throw it's tires, or maybe even blow a board.

Read your manual, you can turn speed control on and off in conventional.  You can lock in a direction also.  It all can be done, you just need to becareful in sequencing direction changes.  Keep engines in sync.  G

So to revisit this again, I have another question. If i turn the speed control off on both engines, and both engines track a little differently (maybe an inch every 5 feet), do I risk the same issues cited by Engineer-Joe above? Much Appreciation!

If you are tracking that close, there is no problem.

Speed control is enabled by default on the ones I own.

On mine disabling it is as follows:

With engine in neutral, rapidly tap  Horn - Bell - Bell .  Two horn blasts will indicate you accomplished it.  Repeat to return to other setting.

When you shut the engine off and restart it it will automatically enable speed control again.
