Hello MTH gurus...

Just opened up a new to me MTH diesel (20-2943-1)

The RPM will not raise, either when moving or using the Rev up button. A factory and feature reset allowed the lights and smoke to work as designed, but nothing on this. I get the coupler slack sounds as it should when starting moving. Also, they do not raise in conventional as well.

Any ideas/thoughts?

Thank you.

Will it rev up if you leave the speed a 0 SMPH and then press the rev?

It does not.

Maybe reload the sound file?

Maybe try a different sound file or a re-load. Running out of options . How is the track signal?

I will try a new sound file. Track signal is decent, 6-7's throughout

This has nothing to do with this but you must have a large layout because I have a small/med. and I get 10 everywhere. Some have stated that you should always get 10's even on large layouts so I wonder why your layout gets such marginal readings? Again nothing to do with the rpm level of course.

I also noticed it's a PS2 engine, what does dcs show the battery/charging circuit as? I still hope/think loading the sound file again might help but I guess I'm just brainstorming in case the sound file doesn't work.

Good luck!
