I have an RK remote set 50-1012 (Remote & IR lockon set) that I've had for a number of years now. The remote only seems to work if the 2 AA batteries are 100% fully charged and even then it's temperamental. (Just started getting back into my setup again).
I look at the infrared using my cellphone camera; Fully charged batteries show it working. But, within a short period of use the remote stops again (no infrared). It's as though it demands brand spanking new 100% charged batteries. I've tried several rechargeables including brand new eneloop batteries with same results.
Any ideas what's going on? Should I be using non-rehcargeables ? (I dont have any so I havent tried, lol).
Regardless, I'm going to pick up the newer version 50-1033 DCS Remote Commander set. Same thing, only easier one button control of some features, correct? Does it open up any other features with a PS2 RS3 from early 2000s?
