According to the latest NASG Dispatch, MTH will have a presence at the NASG convention in Timonium, Maryland Aug 8-12, 2017.  Of course, the convention's practically in MTH's back yard...

Still...  This is good news.  I've often stated that MTH and Lionel should attend an S event, so the input of S folks doesn't get drowned out by O chatter from folks attending shows like York.

I truly hope those attending and talking with MTH will be on their best behavior and offer constructive input.  Maybe they can help to nudge MTH to pick up the pace with S.

I hope someone puts them to task for still not yet producing the ordered 2016 fall S-Fest Sprecher's Cars. I just got an email that the China Plant manager has postponed their production until fall of this year. They were originally ordered in Jan 2016! Apparently the NASG cars have been produced--and the S-Fest cars were supposed to be run at the same time. Nyet!

Maybe this should be posted in the MTH Delivery schedules thread.

I'd be happy to, except I can't find that thread. I'm on dial-up and apparently the search feature doesn't work on dial-up. Heck, I'm lucky to get to the regular threads! It's very frustrating; the cars were ordered and promised in time for the S-Fest in October 2016, then they were promised to be done in March with the convention cars, and now we're told, "sometime in the fall" and the blame is that the China production manager keeps putting them off to "run be with other club cars." The club guy who arranged all this must have his hands full with folks wanting to know "where are my cars?" And if the problem is the guy in China, doesn't he work for MTH? IMHO, this is one of the problems with "outsourced" manufacturing.

Well, it only took 4 years and 5 months to get all my MTH Santa Fe F3's...

There have been troubles with other vendors a couple of years ago with club cars and the Chinese connection.  It seems the only reliable source is American Models.

I understand the State Line club already has this year's Fest cars ( 2 Burlington & 1 National Car Line AM plug door boxcars) in hand and ready to distribute at the Fest

They had a nice display of S gauge products - rolling stock and motive power.  There was a small station where you could operate stationary F units with an iPad.  I spoke to Andy Edelman, VP Marketing.  He said MTH S gauge is holding its own, as are their other lines.  Nothing particularly up and to the right, but steady.   Expect a 2018 S-gauge catalog sometime this fall.
