MTH warranty cards

ALL of those cards go to the trash can. Never filled one out and don't ever plan to. I would bet MTH (or whoever the manufacturer is) throws them out to. I'd be surprised to know if they actually look at them or do anything with them. 

The store receipt is all the warranty card I've ever been asked to provide for service. I dont understand the point of those orange cards, and mine also usually get sent to the trash can.

I don't send any in any cards. They aren't necessary for warranty claims and I doubt if MTH even uses the info.

As far as I have ever seen a receipt is all you ever need. In fact think of it this way, when you send something in for repair, what do they ask for? It's not the card it's the receipt.

I think most of those warranty cards are just to gather marketing info, I'd like to hear otherwise. But if you really want to send them in I would just put them all in one envelope and save some money on postage

For big items I've always regisdtered the, item for warranty directly thru MTH website, under service.  I had 1 warrantee item, an engine. When I called I referred to that e mail registration. Everything was a go.

I too have a large number of those cards. In the Boxes.

I sent the first few in but after that found no reason to do so.

I have carefully put every card and their plastic envelope in the boxes.  After all, when I put my stuff on flea bay, collectors will be sure to pay top dollar for these premium exquisite cards inside the boxes.

Garbage!!!! That's where they go! 

Never sent one in and must 50+ MTH Locomotives and hundreds of rolling stock and never had a problem with warranty repairs. But I credit that to my LHS CMT.

I stopped sending the cards years ago, and I keep them in the boxes they came in. I do not understand the reason for the different colors of cards.
