To be clear, those units are NOT "MUed", but all lined up dead, i.e. in storage. They have been there for some years now.
They are sitting on a section of old SP mainline that became a spur when the western-end bridge over I-10 was removed in conjunction with improvements to the Interstate. What is now the eastbound UP main was relocated north of the highway. UP uses the former El Paso and Southwestern alignment a little further north primarily for westbound traffic: the separate tracks come together at CP Mescal.

My guess is some of them will become future "horsepower" for NS. Some might be sold to them and rebuilt.
CSX might get a few and rebuilt some.I still up units here on CSX.
Wow, after looking for 20 minutes, I finally found them on Google Map. To me, this isn't exactly near Benson. It's like halfway between Benson and Tuscon. But I did find them.
