I would also recommend the northern part of Florida. Hi rise condo building in southern Florida is out of control & the population is just getting more & more crowded. I myself have long thought of relocating to the Jax area.
I had to chuckle when I read the above post about folks moving out after a hurricane. I have had friends move away after each hurricane but to my way of thinking, with all that's going on, 'canes are the least of our worries.
