Rockershovel, indeed, the USATC 0-6-0T was employed in Europe as was the 2-8-0. They both have a special place in my heart as I served with the USATC from 1964-1967. I wasn't assigned to the railway battalion, but with the 49th Transportation Group's military convoy coordination with the German Bundeswehr.
Item: I did witness USATC 2-8-0s under steam at Ft. Eustus, VA, while attending USATC school during the autumn of '64. Arriving in Germany in January '65 and all the Deutsche Bundesbahn steam a young 18 year old railfan's heart could desire.
Request: I would like ETS to consider releasing the Baldwin-Westinghouse steeple cab electric in Armour Yellow and Harbormist grey a la Union Pacific albeit sans lettering.
