Brian, most of us have small areas to build layouts and sometimes tough negotiations to get real estate. Very impressive. Having the whole house to work with.......the ultimate. Great pics.......................Paul
Brian,
Enjoy it all.
MELGAR
thank you Paul and Melgar
Yes, from previous posts it appeared you had trains and layout stashed just about everywhere!! Since you appear to have just about one of everything I knew it had to be some serious space!! Thank you for posting!!!
Nice - It took me 1 bat, 3 rubber snakes and a couple of mice to confirm a firm foundation of the entire basement. You have succeeded beyond all Men's dreams.
Congratulations!
Nice trains but the best one is of your buddy. Reminds me of my Boxer named Joe, markings and all. Got him from a rescue and he was absolutely the best dog I ever had.
All I got is 1/3 of the basement for my trains and half the garage for my "toy car". The rest is "shared" i.e. my wife's .
"IZZY", Izabelle, My train buddy, she is also from a rescue.
She is like having another person around the house ...
Well she's beautiful. No other dog breed has the personality equal to a Boxer. Mine would even talk, almost like muttering words, was hilarious. Our current pitbull rescue talks a little bit, but is dumb as a rock.
thank you, she will definitely tell me what is on her mind !!
and really has some different face expressions to go with that...
Wow.
That's a TRAIN ROOM.
Lou1985 posted:This is my allotted space in our "crappy" basement. Everything must fit on the layout. No shelving. There are plastic bins under the layout for train box storage. I make sure I really want something to buy it, as I have limited space.
Well, I see plenty of space under the layout, so just buy more plastic bins.
I thought I had it made with the space to build a layout 18x40 but Brian makes that look like an N Gauge. Very nice and very impressive Brian. I am jealous.
Hi Brian, Izzy has that look of approval so you must be on the right track with your home layout. I really like the display over the sink. That is the ultimate statement. It is awsome and amazing on so many levels.
Wow! Very impressive Brian. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
Thank you Brian for sharing your awesome collection and train room.
Enjoyed it so much thanks Brian
Brian,
Could you get more light on the layout and your trains? All of the pictures you post of your train house are very cool, they are just a little hard to see.
Thank you,
Mike
Very impressive!!
Wonderful, Brian!!!
Looks like you could use a few more engines!! 😉
Larry
Brian,
Do you know Joe McDoakes?
Brian....awesome space and great pup!
Peter
Great Pictures Brian! Izzy is glad you got the new train room outside cause she was running out of places to sleep inside! LOL Now all you have to do is build a enclosed hallway from the house to the new train room and run trains from the house to there! LOL
Great train House! Thanks for sharing!
thank you everyone...
here is the start of it all when you could still see the walls...
a couple more pics from the past...
How long ago were these photographs taken, Brian?
thinking around 6 years ago, joined the forum
Nice Brian! Now the big question, when did you start collecting trains?
" Dad " started me out before I was born...
You did a lot in 6 years, but collecting trains all your life, you would accumulate a fair amount!!

Oh, my first thought was maybe she stayed in the train room when you occupied the doghouse like Scott Smith.
What, me worry?
