this area will eventually be part of the Alaska themed layout...
or ice cream...
Nice Brian! I think you have every train in the world! LOL
Brian, do you have a layout? All I have seen are close-up pictures of engines. Are you a collector instead of an operator?
Art
both, I like running trains especially being able to run something different pretty much everyday... guess I like variety...
I can run trains in every room of the house downstairs, with different layouts in each room, most of them connected to each other thru the walls. I have some of them taken apart right now, changing them to 072"r right now. Upstairs is a 12' x 35' room with a double track mainline running completely around the room. I also have a 24' x 48' room with a 8'x 30' extension I am working on... a little bit at a time... Izzy and I run different trains almost every night, usually what ever we are in the mood for that day...
Impressive, Brian!! And after running trains, Izzy gets ice cream!!!
YEP, me too...
Oh, I didn't know Izzy let you have any!!
guess that is my reward for getting it out of the freezer for her...
Good boy!!

I have only dated to dream of doing what Brian has done: trains in every room of the house interconnected! Holy Cow!
And I thought I had the most understanding and accommodating wife tolerating my tunnel through the wall in the basement so the trains can invade and take over the perimeter of the laundry room as well as the playroom in the basement.
What fun it must be for you, Brian, running your trains throughout your home.
Arnold
running trains and doing laundry...
coal yard... next level up above engine area...
Brian, sure looks great there! I cant think of anything much better then a good friend, Ice Cream, and running trains! I bet you had a blast!
can we run some more trains now.... pleeeeeeezz...
Looking good, Brian!
Izzy got her request with the train on the Christmas layout! Nice mountain there too!
Nice Brian! You know if it wasn't for you taking out the time to run trains Izzy might have left long ago! You are such a good dad for taking care of her! You can tell just by the look on her face that she love you so much, But I think she might need a little weening off the trains till you get your new layout built! LOL Remember small steps, a car here and a car there. You don't want her to go threw withdrawls! LOL
Keep up the great work!
Brian, Great photographs with the backdrops!!
thank you Mark... Marci is really starting to like taking the train pictures,
hopefully we will have many more coming soon...
she took these one's last night...
Wonderful pictures Brian! Tell Marci she is doing w great job with the pictures! Any update on the new train room?
Ditto on what Mike said! Please tell Marci we both think she is doing a great job!!
thanks Mark and Mike ! I will let her know...
haven't done a thing out in the new train building ... been working a lot, and dealing with all
the fun winter chores... this last ice storm, had part of a tree fell on the
train room, um, house, brakes went out in my van, dealing with my back, better now...
can't wait till warm weather is here !! hopefully will be getting back out there soon !
been stocking up on gargraves track over the winter...
Brian, sorry to hear about the tree! I hope there wasn't to much damage!
As for the new train building, Just think of all the help you have this summer! Not only do you have Izzy, but you have Marco to hold your hand and keep you on track! LOL
I'm glad your back is better, Sorry about the tree and van. When it rains, it pours!!
Brian
I’m also sorry to hear about that tree. My favorites in this set is the CSX coke hoppers thanks for posting them
Very nice, wow.

Aha! You do have some Fastrack, Brian! I really like the O36 manual track switches. I use one in my return-loop and the "spring switch" (non-derailing function) works flawlessly. I have a memory of watching a prototype spring switch work but I cannot now remember where it was.
Lew
intermodal time...
LOL Brian, you have enough containers to supply the whole world with supplies! WOW Man does that look GREAT!
I know this question comes up on this forum from time to time, but judging by the amount of trains that you own,you definitely would be the person to ask. Have you kept the boxes or thrown them out?
a morning freight at sunrise... heading into town...
a late night passenger train pulling into the station...

I throw most of mine out, or I would have to have another building to store all them...
I do save some engine boxes for shipping in case I have to send them out for repair...
Thanks Brian! Good to know!
If my place was like this, I would never leave the house! Vacationland at home!
