Hi everyone!

To kick off my 2017 season, the Strasburg Rail Road held its annual Long John Limited. This year, with temperatures hovering near 70 degrees, many passengers in the open air car opted for shorts and t-shirts rather than long johns.

This video is a compilation of February 18th and February 19th. N&W #475 is a class M 4-8-0 and pulled both the Suter and the President's car on February 19th, which is I believe is the SRC's heaviest passenger train they have. Nonetheless, she sounded fantastic as the "Virginia Creeper" roamed the Road to Paradise.

Here are some pictures to boot:

First off, thanks for camping out where you can hear the engine work and not constantly blowing the whistle! Absolutely beautiful photography!!! Nice job lad!

Thanks Jim!

One thing I've learned is that most railfans like to sit on the crossings. That gets old to me fast. I like to find new angles where you can hear the locomotive work against the grade.
