Our web site will be down for aprox. 1-2 hours starting now as we roll out our new web site. No change in address, it is just to expand it thanks to your purchases! Thanks for your patience.

Do any of the major dealer websites have the ability to keep track of what you have on order from them?
Do any of the major dealer websites have the ability to keep track of what you have on order from them?
Wholesale Trains has that feature. You can check what and when an item was purchased, when it was shipped with tracking numbers. Wish everyone had this ability.
"Do any of the major dealer websites have the ability to keep track of what you have on order from them?"
Our new website has that feature. We just upgraded and so far we have had some very posittive feedback. Let me know if you have questions.

A great feature, Brian. Glad to learn of your upgrade.
Website is currently down, New Site should go live in 1 to 3 hours.
We have a section with the Lionel Closeout Sale. Not all products are up yet, but will be by the end of tomorrow.
Thank you!
I can't wait! Earlier today I saw the Lionel Halloween train station for $29.99. I guess I blew it by waiting so long to buy it.

We will launch our new web store next week. It will keep track of what you have ordered. The store is hosted by Amazon, so it is VERY easy to use.
Details and the official launch next week...
www.nassauhobby.com is now functioning correctly pointing to our new website. Enjoy!
Doesn't work for me, just times out trying to get to the page.
WAIT! It came up after about a minute and a couple retries!
BTW, is that wOw.nassauhobby.com or www.nassauhobby.com?
BTW, it takes a very long time to initially connect to the site. Hopefully, you're working on that.
I have the Lionel Halloween Passenger Station in my shopping cart ($29.99) but the new website won't let me check out. It keeps reloading the shopping cart when I click on GO TO CHECK OUT. The same thing happens when i try to use the pay with Paypal option.
I guess there may be a few bugs that need to be worked out. I will keep trying to check out.
Call in while we are working thru these problems. Thanks!

Thanks guys! I just called in the order. EXCELLENT AND FRIENDLY SERVICE!
OK,
Everything seems to be working correctly now.
Out Security Cert. has been updated correctly.
Authorize.net (our credit card processing company) was actually having issues with their security code system this morning. IF anyone using a credit card does not see a security code, or it does not take the code you see and type in, please REFRESH the page and try another code. It does work, and they assure me they are fixing the issue on their side right now.
PayPal has been updated, tested and fixed as well.
Thank you,
Still very slow, I have given up as didn't want to wait.... so I will check it out later.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I get some kind of page on Sparking or something like that. It says Nassau Hobbies on the top with no mention of trains anywhere.
Were working on it. Call us at 516-378-9594 instead
A Few bugs we are still working out, Sorry about that. We are back up & running faster.
Thanks!
I just clicked on the link in your signature. It took 45 seconds until anything showed up. I don't know about other folks, but long before that much time I assume a web site is dead and move on.
Once you get in, it's not too bad, but that first time access is a killer!

I just clicked my link from a clean cached, new browser and it took 4 seconds to fully load.
As with any new website, DNS may not have propagated throughout the entire US yet. once it does, your speeds will increase.
Shows a 42000 error code.

For I phones and Androids make sure you go to settings and clean out your cookies from time to time.
FYI, I have never been able to connect with your website when I click from this website. I use Safari. Type in your url and I connect fine.

I am on Verizon FiOS in NE-PA, and I still see pretty long delays for the site to load. Hard to believe DNS is taking that long to propagate to a major metro area like this.
I can't see how this is a DNS issue, I used the actual IP address of h 70.40.194.66 and it still takes about 35-40 seconds for the home page to come up.
Sometimes I wish I could buy my parents old house and move back to Smithtown NY...only 31 miles or 40 minutes between Nassau Hobby and Smithtown!
I bet its a lot more congested in the island now as opposed to when I was last there in 1971.

Site Optimization went well last night, a few more things to do tomorrow, the pictures are taking a little long o load, so we will be re-sizing them to optimize load time.
Also, if you clear your browsers history and cache it will help to clear out any old links your browser is trying first before it finds the new correct ones.
Enjoy!
None of my preorders and previous orders from the old site show up on the new, after re-creating my account - will this data be transferred?
Thanks!

Hi Jim,
We are working to see if we can bring the old user accounts over, but not sure yet. we will know in the next day or two. Nothing to worry about as everyone's past order info and pre-order info has been received and accounted for. Any orders that were placed on the old system are accounted for.
I love your new SITE, BUT it is really slow LOADING. About 45 Seconds!!

I'm working with the hosting company and our hosting site about that right now, it seems to be our last issue. we will get it sorted soon...
Thank you for your patience.

I keep experiencing the same lag time before the new site eventually loads.
Side note: a couple of years ago I designed a website that included several third party plug-ins to enhance functionality. The site took a good 30 to 40 seconds before it would load into the web browser.
It turned out to be a conflict between certain plug-ins. Once the plug-ins were ditched, the site loaded with lightning speed.
Perhaps there is a feature on the new Nassau site that is causing the delay in loading. Hopefully, the glitch can be resolved.
I don't think this is a local issue. Fred sees the same thing, and it happens on different computers and different browsers. Even starting the browser in safe mode with no add-ons doesn't change it.

I know you guys are working on it. I been on the site the last 15 min and yes very slow. But a interesting side note I just got bumped with a error message that says to many users. Just info for ya. Never seen that anywhere before. Good job I know you are fixing.
