According to this engines box, it is TMCC.  It has a run/program switch on the engine.  It is model number 6-52189, but it has a custom label from Eastwood Automobilia and nothing comes up for it on the Lionel page.  It runs conventionally but does not program so I was going to do the reset but I don't have the special number.  Any thoughts or knowledge about this engine would be greatly appreciated.

It also has a tether, rail/signal sounds switch on the tender, smoke/no smoke switch on the engine and a volume pot on the tender.  It is numbered 1999 and has the Monopoly logo on the tender.  It would also seem to be that it was a 1999 release.

Thanks.

Todd,

Thank you for your reply, I was thinking it might have been something along those lines.  The manual revealed why the engine would only go in forward, got the straightened out.  And it does not chuff or talk, so I am guessing it is still only signal sounds.  I have tried the signal/rail sounds switch in either position and it doesn't make any difference.  Would this also be an indication that there is no railsounds board present?  I am not the owner, was trying to figure this engine out for a customer.  Neat little engine, but I am not enthralled with the paint job. lol.

Hello folks. I know this is an old string, but it seems to have some knowledge of this product. Bought one of these at auction in great shape. However, it seems like it want to "chug" and on the test track, the bell and horn work fine. However, when on the layout, it is very intermittent with occasional sound (bell and whistle)  turning on and off as it moves. Is there an upgrade board, and/or replacement board? Power for the tender seems to come form the engine but there is no no program/run switch.

Any help would be great.... Thanks.
