I have several spots on my layout where wires are hanging from the elevated trolley line and a couple of lighted buildings, so was wondering what you folks use to cover these wires and a suggestions on where to buy the needed materials.

Not sure if this applies to your set up. I have used simple tubing of dideferent sizes to run the wires in. I then make them look like electric hook-ups to the house or downspouts or whatever your imagination comes up with.

I think soda straws would work. If you already have the wires strung, instead of pushing the wires through the straws, you could slit them lengthwise and clam shell them over the wires.
