I built a 2 ft x 33" Mountain for a cornew of my layout. Here are the results so far.
It is built from 1" styrofoam, cardboard strips and plaster cloth.

I repainted that tunnel and built a smaller one for the other side of the layout. Also built a small canyon for the tresle to fit into

Very nice work on the tunnel and the trestle. it looks great. Please post more pictures when you get all the scenery painted and finished. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Charlie. Usually my lady friend who painted the backdrops paints my hills and mountains. I did the small one and it blended in by ACCIDENT. The bigger one is awaiting her touch as well as the little canyon

You are absolutely correct. I built without a mountain and regretted it almost immediately. Fortunately not a big deal to add it now. That is my winter project. I think mountains, big or small, add so much character to a layout.
