Many who have purchased the GCT Base by Harry Heike have asked for a Platform for the combined GCT and new base to go over the tracks. Here is an initial sample of what it would look like. Let me know what you think and I will pass on your comments to Harry.

Personally I think it's a little too much. 3 levels to me just doesn't look right.
Gotta agree with Spence, it is way too much......looks like a birthday cake, for lack of a better analogy.

Not for me either, but it does open an option for those who did not order the GCT base to use this platform to go over their railroad tracks.
Looks like it's more for function than beauty......
Taking a closer look the sides of each level do not match, and the terminal still has wrapping on it. I would design the bottom level with columns not arches.

I agree with the comment that it looks like a wedding cake as-is. However, I think it looks "off" largely because it's sitting there stand-alone. If the station was at street level, you might have something. Might be pretty neat looking when integrated into a multi-level layout, where the front long side is built into the "earth" of an upper level, and the rear side is open as shown. Just my 2 cents.

Dustin, you hit the nail on the head. Harry was experimenting at the request of some of his customers. When we first talked about the GCT base, Harry asked me if something like the platform pictured would be of interest to most people who bought the GCT base and I said "NO".
As I said before, it does provide an option as a stand alone unit for the GCT.
So there is no confusion, the platform is designed to go below street level.
