The F3 is an older NJ Custom Brass model, trailing unit (F7) is a P&D plastic model. Don’t really know why the F3 does - or appears to - fit the track gauge better...

Thanks, Spence!
Hey, your “First Layout” b&w photo looks almost exactly like mine! Mine was Lionel, 1948, O-27 set added to each Christmas. Wish I had as nice a photo as yours... my dad took a few with his then-new Polaroid camera... even tho the b&w prints got coated with Polaroid gunk right away, they faded over the years. Almost nothing on the print now. Switched to HO, many years, tried N, G and finally O scale felt just right.

Just wanted to mention that The Ironbound is far from a “Club Layout” ...just a small around-three-walls shelf layout built in my in-regular-use garage ; )
