I recently had problems with my legacy base. It turned out to be a connection internally. I took the base to Paul Johnson of Catoctin Mountain

trains...instead of sending it back to Lionel for repair, Paul gave me a brand new base from one that he had in his store!! That's why I shop at my local hobby shop. Paul is the best!!! Nowfor my question....when I hooked up the new base, the remote says "Cab 1" and the 2 engines that I have programmed are there by road number but none of the Legacy options are there, like the Polar Express sounds etc.  Is there some way that I can get them back or do I need to reporogram the engines?  Any help appreciated.

Thanks

You just need to go set up the engines in the base, CAB 1 is one of the three options, TMCC and Legacy are the others. Just set the engines up like you did the first time (or manually change it) under the INFO menu

The engines will have the same engine ID,  but the setup profile info for each  is in the Legacy base you turned back to the dealer.

This is a good time to advocate getting the Legacy Setup Utility  software from Lionel. Two engines are pretty quick to set up, but yo could have backed up the base before turning it in. They you could have easily reinstalled it to the new base.

Or using 1.51 and a Black Module you could have at least saved the engine profiles and quickly reinstalled them
