This arrived yesterday. I like to add traditional items often. This was a pleasant surprise. Pure Postwar construction here. Bar-end trucks etc.

Yeah after all these years...Lionel has dozens of trucks at their disposal. Don't understand the selections. The basic plastic truck on ready to run would look better with a modern plastic version of the AAR truck. They could easily do this. And then we have the diecast AAR truck used in recent Postwar Conv. Classics. And even a diecast AAR truck used on some recent PWC series cars that is a one piece casting (the bar is there for looks but doesn't hold truck face on) unlike the PW bar end trucks.
