I might order a Railking scale Santa Fe H-10-44. It has zebra stripes so that calls out to me. Plus the price is right. It's cheaper than I could pick up an old Premier version of the same locomotive from the 90's and add TMCC or PS3 to, straight from the factory. I've been looking for a small diesel switcher to shuttle freight and passenger cars into and out of the yard on my layout, and this would fit nicely on one of the short tracks off the turntable.

DL109 in Santa Fe with the plated finish looks nice as well. I'll probably skip that one though. I've got 3 sets of warbonnet passenger units (2 ABBA F3s and an ABA set of PAs) so I don't really need more.

While there is no new tooling, I thought it was a nice looking catalog.  Some nice product for those that purchase MTH.  Honestly I was surprised at the amount of product and the number of paint schemes.  Also of note was that the handheld is still in the catalog.  I thought that was discontinued?

However, I've gotten quite spoiled in the locomotive and passenger car department.  If it's not a Sunset / 3rd Rail / GGD product or higher end I won't be ordering it unless MTH reissues the 3/2 CNJ Trainmaster at some time in the future that got cancelled last time I pre-ordered it.  I might consider CNJ P47 Pacific 835 in black with Miss Liberty on the tender should that ever get reissued in 3/2 also.  First world problems honestly.

However, the oxide brown ATSF caboose is one I'll probably pick up.  I've been looking for something reasonable to put behind my 3rd Rail A-B-B-A set of FTs for some time.  It would look good with a Kadee coupler on the back side.

As a B&M/MEC fan, I was interested in a number of items.  HOWEVER, most are reruns of items I already have.  I would be interested in some of the B&M streamlined passenger cars, but are they going to be made with red stripes vice the correct B&M maroon?  I would also be interested in the MEC F3s, even though they are Railking (I prefer them in Premier).  However, from what I can see, the colors are incorrect.  I am hesitant to preorder these items because I concerned that the colors will be incorrect and I would be very disappointed.  Please get these right, MTH.

I do like the Bradley Fighting Vehicles on flatcar however my military train is a WWII era train so no go for me.

Two things that I noticed that I thought were odd:

They call the Jeeps “Personnel Vehicles” not Jeeps. Why? I am sure they know they are Jeeps.

The Veterans Engine in Railking is a Dash 8. I know the rules for Railking are more open than for the Premier Line but a EMD engine would be a little more realistic. Even if the Railking line does not have a mold for a SD60E a SD60 or even a SD70Ace would have been a better choice. Then again I do not buy Railking engines (or even MTH engines) so it is not a issue to me.

They finally have the Grand Trunk Western 1776 GP38-2 diesel loco in the catalog. I have to order that.

There are DT&I GP38-2 diesels in the GTW blue, red, & white scheme. I will order both eventually.

There are finally PILLSBURY cylindrical 100-ton covered hoppers, so I need both road numbers.

The PREMIER line ROCK trailers on TRAILER TRAIN flat cars are what I have been waiting to get for my THE ROCK era train.

The Palouse River or GRAIN TRAIN ACF Centerflow 3-bay covered hoppers will extend my Washington State grain train.

I will order the Grand Trunk Western ex-DWP 1976 steel caboose.

I ordered the MONON auto carrier for the 1960's and 1970's era GTW freight trains.

Can't believe MTH (or Lionel for that matter) doesn't seem to want to come out with Southern Railway green F units! They make plenty of Southern and NS black F units, but not the 50s era models.

For me, I just see 3-4 40' and 50' boxcars that I may order, nothing else. Like the Seaboard passenger cars, but will have to see how close they are to what was used on the Meteor or Star.

There is a Chesapeake &  Ohio GP30 that i would like to order.

I am considering the SOO LINE 50' double-door box car.

The BOSTON & MAINE PS-1 50' box car in the 1776 would be great for a Bicentennial freight train.

The Railking MONON 4-bay offset side hopper is one I will order for use in GTW and SOO LINE trains.

The Railking SOO LINE FM H10-44 is one I am considering.

If it were not for the all of the Bicentennial locos and cars, I might have pre-ordered the CN C40-8 loco or the red  SOO  SD40-2.

The Southern Pacific SD45 should be done in Premier, they have only done it in the "Daylight" scheme ~ It even has the Espee lighting package. What a Waste of that Tooling.

The Southern Pacific Railking version needs to be done in the Speedlettered Espee version 8600 class where they didn't have the Espee lighting package.

The Santa Fe SD45 needs to be done in their most long lived Numbers of the 5300 class.

That GP30 Conductor front side handrail needs to be corrected - Unacceptable for a Premier Model.

And a Santa Fe warbonnet SD40-2, sheesh...Why not do it in Black Widow Next
