I feel your pain Ray, When I was in Palmdale CA it was 60 miles one way to Keck's. So hear I am detailed to DC. Guess what the local guy charges,  7.00 bucks for a copy and there is none to look at, you got to buy them. I can not find a decent train store in this area. If anyone knows of a good O gauge store in the D.C Northern Virginia area please let me know. Please.

John: Engine House Hobbies in Gaithersburg MD. www.enginehousehobbies.net

Catoctin Mountain Trains in Thurmont MD, about an hour long BEAUTIFUL drive north of DC in the Catoctin Mountains between Frederick and Gettysburg. Best shop in the area IMO. www.cmtrains.com

Engine House Hobbies is on one end of Diamond Ave. Western Auto used to be at the corner of Diamond and Summit. Bought my first new bicycle there a Western Flyer in 1970 from money I made carrying the Washington Star on a hand me down bike from my brother.

So, Ricky, of those NS Heritage units, what versions do they have listed?  Hi-rail, 2 rail with scale pilots and a non-powered unit?  Just curious.

I will probably get one SOU car because its different.  I picked up the sample car at York and it looked to match the Atlas version pretty well in detail.

Man are you WRONG about that.

I have a list of The P-S-1 50' box cars in an issue of RailModel Journal and there are railroads and graphic schemes that Atlas O still has yet to produce, and it looks like with the delays in production for Atlas O, they will never make those railroads. That leaves only MTH to put those roads on their version. It will also cost less than the Atlas O version.

Also The PS-1 50' Box Cars had several door variations.

Lafondue,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.   I'd like to download it but somehow it is telling me that the page isn't available despite being able to scroll through and look at the content.

I'm hoping that my message to MTH via the MTH Facebook pages produces a remedy for this problem.

Ed

SD40-2 in FEC!!! my prayers have been answered!!! This was the only modern engine rostered by the FEC that had not been done by either of the major companies. If MTH does the paint scheme correctly, it will be easy as the prototypes were purchased from UP and all that was done was to remove the UP logos and road numbers and then apply FEC markings.

of course, I won't have it in hand until 2015 or'16.(if MTH keeps to their usual schedule) I've got the SD70M-2, and the GP40-2/3, all I needed was the SD40-2. Now I can have a prototypical consist!
