New MTH Railking J class

I have two original RK N&W J's......I have not seen the 'new' J I would think that it's the same locomotive that MTH has been making other than electronics updates. If you have a choice between PS2 and PS3 please go with the PS3 version!!!! I have a number of PS2 that had DOA electronics but NONE of my PS 3 locos have had issues. PS3 is not as old or been around as long....but I feel MTH made big strides in the electronics in PS3.

 

And like all my MTH locos....they run like a top as long as the electronics are good!

The railking J is an awesome locomotive. Never had an issue and it fits right in with premier rolling stock.

I have the very first RK J and the Imperial Version PS2 from about 2 years ago and love them both. Was going to PS2 the first J but now I have the Imperial I am not up grading the first. Have the Aux Tenders for both also. Looks Great and runs great.

Just like MTH to get the train numbers wrong on the announcements. The "Tennessean" was train #45 & #46. The "Arrow" was train #25 & #26.

I have one of the first railking j with the pistion smoker.I am happy with it pulls real good.Although it doesn,t smoke like my other locomotives.It makes a fair amount of smoke.It has a very bright headlight and a certain charm about it.I want to change the whistle thou.

BTW....this is the loco that got me to switch from HO to O3R. My buddy Sean showed me his and I bought one the next day....down hill from there!!!!
