Just happened to notice MTH has their new web site up! Check it out.

Looking good. Lets see what others think.
...keep the rails polished...
I think this is a mistake. I hope they didn't mean to publish this site because much of the functionality doesn't work. Tips and tricks link is broken and product search won't work either if you don't put in a keyword.
I'm going to take a break and check it out now. Thanks for the update.
The product search worked for me.
Still needs a lot of work.
And still useless as a project-parts source.
I still see 3d Issues design , and cant stand the navigating.
Too big, or too small, I wont bother looking further.
Wow!
Much improved.
I gave it a work out and located everything.
Only thing I would like to see are end and top views of the items.
Zoom photo feature is also nice like ebay offers.
Now I can see and check the car dates.
Not sure why anyone would expect much from the site using anything other than a PC and a nice large LCD monitor.
Kind of reminds me of people still using the speakers on their big screen TV, LOL!
Why would you need to register anything? Just send in the item with a copy of the sales receipt for warranty repair.
Checked the site again and it works just fine using a 64bit i-7 PC.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I like some of the updates they've done. Especially under product search - the pictures of the items are larger and when you take your mouse over them you can pull up a large, zoomed-in photo that shows the details MUCH better than the previous site. That alone is a huge improvement.
On my desktop, I found the site to be VERY responsive -- with the biggest improvement being the product locator results.
The "find it locally" product tab on the detailed product listing produces an instant list of stores that reportedly have the product in stock, whereas in the past it seemed to link off to another IP address to create the list of stores. I'm sure the listing is still only as accurate as the stores who provide updated info to MTH when products sell. But at least the MTH piece is now much more responsive.
Only in this day-and-age when social media reigns supreme do we have back-to-back posts where one post raves about something followed by the next post that hates it. Par for the course these days, for sure.

Kind of hard navigate on a mobile device like my iPhone right now
The mobile site will be in up in about two weeks.

It'll take some getting use to. I hope they will go back and relink all the photos for the older stuff that was on the old site but is now missing. Also I like the old site having all the catalogs on one page instead of separate pages, but now they seem to have a larger backlog of the older catalogs (all the way to '93 instead of just '99).
EDIT: Spoke too soon. Click on the 1993 catalog link and there is nothing.
Boy, is that broken.
Just set up a new personal account (no problem). On the business side, it took a few minutes, but I figured out how to get to the dealer info to check on order status. As with anything, there will be some teething pains, but all in all, it's pretty darn good.
I can't comment on the I-whatever interface quality, as I gave up trying to read things on my phone years ago...vision is one of the main reasons I got back into O Scale, as I realize that sooner or later I wouldn't be able to see most of the details on the smaller scale RR equipment....now where's my hammer, I got a coupler to fix
I like it and think it works pretty well.
I like it. The only complaint I have is that some of the products no longer have the pictures they had on the old site.
Thanks for the heads up on this, Phil. And for the timing of the soon to be released mobile version, Scott.
Some sections are more responsive than before. I am glad that MTH tried to make improvements.
Having said that, it needs more work to be "production ready". I can only hope that it is a beta version / work in progress so that it can be further developed in terms of additional videos, making sure that links work, adding pictures of recently released products that currently show as "image not available", improving overall navigation, readability of the text, and searching for parts by keyword.
I was going to make a smart-*** post along the lines of "The MTH Website is broken! It still says that the Leland Detroit Monorail isn't shipping!"
I went and checked the status of the item and, to my astonishment, it said that the Monorail shipped in December, 2014! I went to the "find it" button and then received a message saying "This product may not have shipped yet or is completely sold out. Click on the show button to see who might have it on order."
The prior website listed this item as shipping in May, 2015 which has been confirmed here on the board by other dealers.
For me, the only thing worse than HTML glitches is inaccurate data. It might be time to pull the site down until it's ready....

The login page for the MTHRRC is not working. I don't see anywhere to login. Anyone with the same issue?
I posted that this site came up for me a few weeks ago and pretty much nothing worked - I'll bet it is still in a beta mode and may disappear back to the old site eventually.
Goshawk- I had the same issue when I tried to log-in. It just refreshed back the home page.

The site has a better look to it. But even after registering I still can't register a new purchase for warranty purposes.
I also noticed that after logging in, when you navigate away from the page you logged on with,, every other page that you navigate to does not show that you are still logged in.
I'm using an IPad, so this may be a mobile device issue.
It looks good and it has some improvements. But there still are very, very few parts diagrams, so I'm not sure what good it actually does.
"Warranty Registration" under "MTH Service" still does not work...on a standard laptop.
I never understood the need to register a new product. A receipt is sufficient.

This is much better than what they had.
I had no issues navigating where to go. The look and feel is consistent. Because of this I found features of the site I didn't know existed. This led me to learn more about products I already own.
To conquest new customers it's bright and cheery. I can find out about the company and product lines in a manner that is professional. The product search will sell items. It builds confidence in the company when I see an organized web site.
I look forward to the service videos. We'll done service videos can be very beneficial to your customers.
Very nice job MTH.
Thanks for posting this. I had used the product search feature. Yesterday it showed December, 2014. They have updated the data since my post.
I also called my dealer and asked for an update, so whether it was a result of posts on this forum, direct dealer contact, or MTH's own Q/A process, it looks like some action has been taken.
I like it. The only complaint I have is that some of the products no longer have the pictures they had on the old site.

Although the new site has some positive elements to it, the lack of images for products that once had them is a HUGE short-coming. I just looked up 3 Standard Gauge product numbers, and we're 0 for 3 on images. And all 3 products definitely had images on the former site. Why the step backwards?

Well done new web page. The MTH You Tube channel has an excellent demo video on their new page. See the video above on JR Junction's Post.

Most of the photos were incorrect anyway.
You rarely got what the catalog depicted; in most cases the actual item looked better.
Sometimes they showed an HO model sample or first prototype received sample.
Probably is for the best.

...
Probably is for the best.
Can't say I agree at all. The products I was looking for were Standard Gauge items that I know had accurate images on the former site. If a "real" product photo is unavailable, the default image should at least be the catalog illustration.

I had some MTH links to some stuff I have in an excel spreadsheet, those are now broken. It looks like they have moved things around. They might still be having some trouble with their own links? Some links to PS2/3 items and info have been fixed already, so it may just take some time to get it all linked back up? Then again...???
