Guess the SIRR/B&O S-2s were not up to handling the train from CNJ/Cranford, NJ and the road power ran through onto Staten Island.
In 'real life' I often worked this train movement as towerman at XC Cranford Jct. tower in the late 1960s. B&O coal train w/ Reading crews would come into Cranford from Philly/Bound Brook. Had to run around train on track 5 in sections pushing the cars onto the SIRR north main. Then on the final runaround, couple up and shove the remaining train further onto the SIRR north main, cut off with the caboose and run light back to Eastside Yard in Philly.
Nice memories Steve.
