This is coming along nicely. Really great. good detail, noticeable how much thought goes into how to make it so it assembles well.
Hi Alan,
It's coming along very nicely, looking forward to the completed photos
Alex
Here are a couple more pictures. The last two structures I have to make and install will be the drilling derrick and the burn-off flare.

That really looks great, Alan
Fantastic model.
Fantastic.
Alan:
How do you pack/ship something like this? It looks very fragile.
Joe
Alan - Magnificent job as always!
Art
Yep....absolutely gorgeous! Just ship it here!!
Alan
Outstanding, Alan.
Thank you everyone.
Joe,
This will be double boxed. I will make the second box about four inches larger on all sides. The flare pipe and structure and the crane are removable. The model is 14 inches square by about 19 inches high.
Alan,
I am pretty sure this model is being shipped somewhere in your state.

Simply Amazing
Looks fantastic Alan.
Thanks for sharing. Love your work.
I'm speechless. . .
Holy cow!! That is truly a piece of art!
That is fantastic. Well done!
Well, rats, I checked and I don't have room for the Gulf of Mexico on my layout, so
I have no place I can put that. Foiled again. And here I was thinking with all the
drone technology now, one might be able to conjure up a helicopter to land on that
pad.
OMG, Alan that is just amazing.
Guys,
Thank you all for your nice compliments. The next project will be a gas holder. These structures were around in the 30,s to present to store natural gas in a gas form. Today they have been replaced by LNG (liquid Natural Gas Tanks. The old gas holders have way more style.
Alan Graziano
Alan,
That is chrushin'!
Dave
Gorgeous!
Peter
Another knockout structure. That is such a beautiful oil rig. Well done, again.
I am right now doing minor kitbashing on Korber petroleum tanks, so I wanta
see that "gas holder".
Alan,
This is amazing work, your the best
Alex
Alan
You Da Man!!!!
Superb. And probably better than anything BP has
Alan! Wonderful job! Is the flare stack going to work? That would be cool...
How long did the project take (in days?Hours?)
Trainman,
The flare will not work. I will have to try that sometime.
The model was completed over a period of about three weeks, mainly working on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Thanks Alan,
You are a very fast worker. I think that project would have taken me two months. You have a lot of Plastruct lying around I presume.
More great original work with excellent detail and color. Now you can model a small ocean or bay and you will have the most unique model around. I visualize this rig on a very large layout with a seashore theme or bay area.
