i love philadelphia transit stuff. its so cool how it calls out philadelphia stops.
Got that trolley at York from MTH a few years ago at a really good price . Tom
The Electric City Trolley Museum, opposite Steamtown in the same parking lot, actually has two operable Red Arrow units, #76 a 1926 center door Brill and #80 a 1932 Master Unit. They also have a number of other Philadelphia pieces in the collection, some restored and some waiting to be. 5205 is a 1923 Brill currently under restoration. Their association website is ectma.org.
If there is a certain piece of equipment that you have a soft spot for, you should know that the ectma keeps an individual account for each car, so a donation specifically given to say car #102, stays with car #102.
The excursion route is an 11 mile round trip partially on the original Laurel Line route with numerous water crossings and perhaps the longest trolley tunnel in the US at 4747 feet.

Was the P&W the same as the RED ARROW?
I used to ride from 69th st to NORRISTOWN on the P&W LINE.

Interestingly enough, I did the station stops for both this car and the Pittsburgh car when I visited MTH a few years back. The wisecrack about the ACME in Media was my idea... ;-)

I love the MTH Brills (the PCCs too)

P&W was a separate company that was bought by Red Arrow. Real old timers still call it the P&W.
Heh. More likely, they'll offer the ex-CTA cars in SEPTA colors, as they have the tooling for that already; just in case, I did a set of station stops for the Norristown High Speed line when I was there some years ago.

Sorry. Force of habit I guess. I suppose I've become accustomed to MTH producing uncommon prototypes.
The Strafford car would be nice as well:

Somewhere I have pictures of the " Flying Coffins" that flew from 69th Street Station to Norristown. I used to ride it up and back several times. What a thrill!
