Alex great job as usual.  I've been following your posts for several years.  I noticed that you have added a number of Menard buildings.  The closing shot of the 2 steamers meeting on the trestle was well thought out.  Kudos!

Man,  that's terrific Alex!  My first 'real' look at your amazing layout.  As mentioned above, your parting shot with the two fantastic steamers closing in and passing each other is wonderful!  The Goose certainly is smoking better in this shot...

Hi Guys!

It was fun making this video, and yes, I have several new Menards buildings. I still like to assemble kits and start from scratch, but it is nice  to be able to install the buildings right out of the box.

The parting shot, with the two steamers over the Trestle, was the first segment I finished; I had visions of that scene, and though not perfect, it turned out OK. The SF 4-6-4 Blue Goose does generate a lot of 'steam';  but to be fair, however, I must admit that the SP Daylight 4-8-4 had been generating almost as much, but it was running low on fluid. I didn't see this until after I had the video almost done.

Some scenes, such as the Blue Goose in front of the Subway, took many  tries before they were acceptable. On the other hand, one scene; i.e., the L-Train, Amtrak, and UP, turned out as I used it on the first try - that was a first for me.

Beautiful, sublime video editing.  It's now in my favorites folder.

My layout and details are most fun to share; and although I have incorporated many of my own ideas, it would only be fair to admit that a lot of what you see I have learned to do from the forum and also from layouts I have visited. The layouts I have visited, even though few in number, have been created by extremely talented modelers, many of whom contribute to this forum. 

Alan - Yes, the Amtrak Superliners were one of my best acquisitions.

That was great! Your layout is still one of my all time favorites as is your build thread. I have learned a lot from that, especially your method of powering the Atlas track. Nice to see the passenger trains too. I also like the Amtrak train, the best one (I think?). The Sante Fe and UP were close seconds. Guess I am still a big diesel fan. The two passing trains on the trestle were great too. Thanks for posting.

Do any of us believe that he hasn't already done it.  There is also evidence of dangerous cooperation between Alex and Alan.  Whole consists have disappeared on the Twin Lakes Central and reappeared on the Hidden Pass Junction. Maybe the nearly simultaneous appearances of the Blue Goose in two places were not coincidental.
