This video highlights the merger between two railroad giants....Burlington Northern and Santa Fe. On July 20th, 1995, the merger became official and the BNSF was born. One of the first locomotives to receive a new paint scheme for the BNSF was Burlington Northern SD70MAC #9647.
I included in the consist Santa Fe #1995, a SD70Ace and Burlington Northern #2518, a GP35 to complete the merger scheme. The train is hauling a string of Intermodal cars featuring Lionel "Husky Stacks" and 5 car "Twin Stacks" from MTH.
