Nope!
Right, no charge for parking. You are, however, sort of expected to tip the bathroom attendants.

For parking? Just kidding, yes the bathroom tip is one expense you need to think of as it makes going so much nicer!

Why are there bathroom attendants at York? To me that just seems crazy.
May be crazy, but it is great having a clean bathroom!
There are sooo many people, who let's say can't aim out of either end! They have someone else just clean up for them or well I do not want to use the bathroom i their house!
When you witness the crowds in the bathrooms, especially right before the show opens, only then will you see the need for the bathroom attendants.
Brian and Dennis,
That seems reasonable to me now.
As a note, parking is plentiful.
Figure out which halls you will do most of your shopping in. Look at the map in the registration packet. Park so that you will do the minimum length trip to your car to deposit your new treasures.
Those who complain about bathroom attendants, imagine what it might be like without them. Not pretty!! I cheerily throw a few quarters into the collection.
i.e. restrooms: when you get to "that age", it's sort of like trying to aim a dribble glass. The attendants deserve every cent we can spare!
My father started me off going to York in the late 80's. He told me "son, people with the money to come here for these high priced toys can afford a couple bucks for the bathroom attendants." I always think of him as I drop a dollar in their plate.
A couple years ago I began to think I should make an adjustment for inflation. Then I realized my prostate was making it for me.

How true!Peter

Yes, my dollar now only lasts 2-3 hours.

You get that long out of the dollar?
