Yep, that would be me Mike. When I was a kid back in the 50's I lived close to brewery and if the wind was blowing in the right direction you could smell the hops. Still love the smell of beer.
My guess is an extension for the power supplies for those of us who have larger layouts and need a longer wire to go from the transformer to a building that may be 8 or 10 feet away.
If it is not , I hope they offer one soon so I can wire all their buildings without trying to get 120 volts to all areas of the layout in order to light their buildings. Running extensions cord with 120 volts all under the layout is not a good solution!
Fingers crossed,
Don
Menards has a great electrical dept. The best place to buy extension cords
This is what happens under my Christmas tree but the wires are hidden by a blanket of snow!

Thanks Mark, not my layout but thought it was a good example. Yes that’s what I have done with the Christmas layout with the lemax buildings, still can be messy
Ever notice that most everything that Menard's comes out with is modern stuff that you see around today. Certainly that sign "teaser" is an example of a modern traffic indicator and I suspect that the school building will also follow suit--- modern design.
Hey, Mark: How about doing some things that represent 1950? I can see modern stuff by simply walking out the door or going down to the nearest RR track. But to maintain the 1950 era look, has required real perseverance, on my part. All motor vehicles: 1950 or earlier. all freight cars: mostly 40', some 50', but all with friction bearing trucks. Locomotives: the last years of steam, 1st generation diesels. What you see in my basement, you can't see in real life anymore. Even your people can be selected to represent older clothing styles.
So, Mark: If some of us "old guys" business is important to you, make some stuff with a vintage flavor. And, after all is said, guys with modern layouts can correctly have some vintage buiildings, automobiles, people's dress and, of course, some trains.

Paul your right on the sign. the older ones the sign was diamond shape ( or should I say square turned 45 degrees )
