New Hope Valley #17 arrived in Roanoke, VA today and was unloaded this afternoon. She will be running short trips this weekend in conjunction with Roanoke Railfest on Saturday, May 12th.

Good video...I know they have done that a bunch of times but I kept waiting for it to come cruisin' down that ramp....
The last time 17 went on the road--to West Virginia Rails Festival in 2010--we used the same trucking company that hauls Flagg Coal 75 around. He's got a winch on his rig that is used to pull the engine up or let her down.
